See a video of our amazing trip to Vietnam

A Blonde and A Beard

It has taken us over a year and a half to sit down and figure out how iMovie works, BUT, we have finally done it and this is our video of our honeymoon in Vietnam in 2015

Part 1 of our honeymoon:

Ho Chi Minh City formerly known as Saigon is a beautiful city with lots of parks, motorbikes, friendly people, clothes and food markets, history and last but not least DELICIOUS food and Vietnamese coffee! We stayed here for 3 nights and visited the Cu Chi tunnels from here. (it’s quite a drive from the city, but very interesting to see how people lived during the war) our hotel organised a day trip for us.

From Ho Chi Minh City we flew to Phu Quoc, a beautiful island just a short flight away. We absolutely loved it there. We hired scooters and stayed in a bungalow right on the beach. Ate with the locals at the markets, swam in the sea at one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever visited (Bai Sao), dined on the beach in front of our accommodation and had the most relaxing week here. Phu Quoc is fast becoming a big tourist attraction and many large hotel chains are currently being built on the beach front, so get there soon if you want to see the fairly unspoilt island.

Watching this video made us just want to pack our bags and go back! What a stunning country! (all filmed with a GoPro Hero 4)

Where we stayed – We would recommend both places we stayed

Ho Chi Minh CityEden Saigon Hotel – We found it close enough to walk everywhere, they have a nice rooftop pool and breakfast was good for an Asian country and the service was excellent.
Phu Quoc IslandMai House Resort – A rustic little bungalow on the beach (where we spent a lot of time swimming and tanning), with a great restaurant that offers beach dining in the evening where we had some delicious meals! Also a lovely little massage tent/tables right on the beach next to the resort.

  1. Phu Quoc says:

Phu Quoc is a great place for honeymooners. With it’s nice white sand, luxury beach resorts, and upscale dining, I can see why this place is attracting a lot of couples who are looking to tie the know.

A good website for planning your trip here is

The island also has plenty of great scenery for wedding photography, such as the wooden bridges in Cua Can, the white sands of Sao beach, and the rustic fishing villages.

I love Phu Quoc and watching your video makes me want to go back… soon! Thanks for posting and sharing.
