If you ever find yourself at Circular Quay in Sydney, make sure you head over to the Contemporary Museum of Modern Art! The museum is located on the harbour edge and is housed in the former Maritime Service building – a great example of late Art Deco Architecture.
There are 3 levels of art featuring different artists from across Australia and around the world. The exhibitions are forever changing which is really exciting as each time you visit it will be different.
Here is some of the work we got to see.
You need to watch this one with sound!
One of the viewing rooms displays this video which we found extremely funny – we left the room with sore stomachs and tears rolling down our faces from laughing so much!
On the top floor of the museum is a restaurant, the MCA cafe, with gorgeous views of the harbour, Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The perfect way to end your experience with a drink, coffee or something to eat.
Entrance to the museum is free, although there are donation boxes scattered around if you are feeling generous.
