Nusa Lembongan was once a beach shack surfers paradise, but in more recent years has become more popular with families, couples and backpackers all looking for an island retreat. Although Nusa Lembongan has become a popular destination, you can still find a beach shack with a view of the ocean or if you would prefer, there are also plenty of boutique hotels and resorts to choose from.
The walk is about 6km and took us an hour and a half with all the stops to take in the breathtaking views, take a few photos and cool off in the sea. It is a very popular route, especially on the weekend so you will have to walk single file for some of the way, but it’s totally worth it!

Riebeek Kasteel is a small town 87km from Cape Town, known for its wine, wheat and olives. Many artists have moved to this quaint town, attracted by the picturesque surroundings. Take a stroll around the town centre (a quick 5 minute walk from Villa Augusta), pop into some of the galleries, craft and gift shops, have a G&T at the Royal Hotel or a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants. There are also some great wine farms in the area, so be sure to check those out too!
